Boys' Sport Tracksuit 2-16 Years
There are many styles of boys' sport tracksuits aged 2-16 years to choose from, taking into account design, fit and material. They are available with hoods, zip up fronts and large front pockets.
As with all children's clothing, tracksuits are often labelled with recommended age groups. With this being said, some children grow quicker than others, which can make buying the right size a bit tricky.
Choosing the correct size
It is important to take new measurements of your child to ensure you get the correct sized tracksuit, and as your boy continues to grow, be sure to take measurements every time you buy new clothes.
Measure their chest, waistline and leg to get accurate measurements, using a cloth tape measure.
Choosing the right colour
Light colours are ideal in summer, as they will reflect the warm sunlight, though opting for greys or earthy colours will make washing away any mud and grass stains much easier than with a white tracksuit.
Dark colours are best in the winter as these will draw in and keep hold of the sunlight, keeping your child warm. A range of bright colours are also available if your boy is playing for a team and wants to represent his team colours.
Due to kids generally sweating more and being much more active than adults, opting for cotton tracksuits or those made of moisture-wicking fabric is often a good decision.
Boys' polyester tracksuits are less prone to pilling and fleece tracksuits will keep them warm during the colder seasons. A tracksuit with a minimum of 2% Lycra is less likely to tear because the fabric becomes more elastic.
Boys' sport tracksuit bottoms are available in baggy jogging bottom styles or tight legging designs and are either fitted with drawstring or elastic. Boys' tracksuit jackets are available with hoods or collars and commonly come with zip fronts.
