Taxus chinensis is a very adaptable, medium sized tree that gives beautiful deep green foliage and can be used as a feature/shade tree or even grown as a hedge. This tree will grow in sun but prefers part shade and unlike other yews it can handle hot Australian summers as well as cold winters. A large, ornamental evergreen shrub or tree of the yew family, Taxus chinensis is widespread in China at elevations up to 900 meters. The tree is up to 14 m tall and wide and bushy when cultivated.
