Comme des Garcons Men's Coats and Jackets
The name may be French but this Japanese brand, founded in Tokyo in 1969, is famous around the world. Comme des Garcons men's coats and jackets produce elegantly tailored clothing which appealsto those who like to look good and make a strong fashion statement.
Comme des Garcons' labels
The label's main menswear line is Comme des Garcons Hommes Plus, which is designed by founder Rei Kawakubo.
Kawakubo also designs their Homme Plus Evergreen and Homme Deux collections.
Homme Deux specialises in tailored menswear, whilst Homme Plus Evergreen re-invents pieces from previous collections.
Trench coats and longer length overcoats
Commes des Garcons men's trench coats are traditionally double breasted, belt at the waist and have a single vent at the back.
Like trench coats, overcoats are designed to be worn over your normal day wear, so they should be large enough to accommodate your suit and jacket. While trench coats are generally made of gabardine or cotton, overcoats are more commonly made from wool, or a mix of wool and man-made fibres.
Length is important when choosing trench coats and overcoats. Shorter men should opt for styles that sit above the knee, while taller men should choose coats that sit below the knee.
Commes des Garcons Blazers
Blazers are really versatile. Although they are formally tailored, they are fairly easy to dress up or down.
For winter wear, blazers made from tweed, wool or flannel are ideal. Darker shades are popular but blazers in stronger colours like red, green or mustard yellow will add a splash of colour to your look. Linen blazers are great for the summer.
Biker and bomber jackets
Nothing says urban style like a leather biker jacket or a cropped bomber jacket from Commes des Garcons. Both are flattering as they widen the shoulders and narrow the waistline.
