Since it was founded in 1958 Japanese company Daiwa has been producing equipment to meet the ever changing needs of the angler . Its development of the ' Open-Faced' reel in 1965 transformed it into the brand of choice for the angler looking for state of the art technology.
Among the range of feeder and picker fishing rods available is the Daiwa 'Carp Match' 12ft fishing rod. Designed for commercial fishing, it is a two piece assembly rod, with blanks made from medium grade carbon, guides made from aluminium oxide to reduce the risk of line cutting, carbon feeders and hook keepers.
The 12ft 'Black Widow' twin tip fishing rod weighs 1.75lb and is described as a versatile rod which is designed to be hard wearing and is made of carbon with a matt low glare finish. This twin tip rod has one fixed 2oz fibreglass quiver for catching smaller fish and a hollow tubular tip for large and flat fishing. It is fitted with a down locking EVA grip over a DPS reel seat. The cork handle is lightweight and with an EVA handle grip.
The new Daiwa 'Yank n Bank' match and feeder rods are ideal for pellet waggler, feeder and bomb work. They have a two piece assembly and come in lengths of 10ft, 11ft, and 12ft, which offer different ranges, power and use. The feeders have slim light quivers and the finish of the blanks are matte with low glare. These rods have down locking EVA fore grip, a cork handle with EVA rear grip, a hook keeper, and are supplied with a rod sleeve and reel pouch.
Daiwa 'Ninja Feeder' rods suit both the commercial and wild water angler. These rods are available in four lengths - the 13Q 3pc is for distance/method feeder work and in 10ft, 11ft, and 12ft models which have two-piece assembly. The blanks are in light balanced carbon, the handle is cork with an EVA rear grip, there is a DPS down locking reel with EVA grip, stainless steel frame guides with titanium oxide rings, and a hook keeper ring.
The Daiwa Matchwinner collection of feeder rods uses an ultra slim blank made with high modulus carbon and these are perfect feeders for commercial fishing. The feeder rods have three tapered carbon tips for excellent bite detection. The 11ft is ideal for float work and will handle pellet wagglers and strong mainlines.
