Dell Studio PC Laptops and Netbooks
The Dell Studio PC laptops and netbooks range is aimed at people who want to purchase a computer that comes with a mid level specification (ie not an entry level machine, but not the highest level either).
Laptops and netbooks are designed to be portable, with a laptop having more on board memory for storing programs and files. A netbook is primarily designed for accessing the internet to use your programs and files.
Some types of Dell Studio laptops and netbooks
One of the main differences between the Studio range of laptops is the size of their screen. Laptop screens are measured diagonally across the face of the screen from bottom corner to top corner. The Dell Studio range covers screen sizes from 13 inches to 16 inches.
Another difference will be in the operating system the computers use. PC machines are designed to work with Microsoft Windows as their main operating system. Dell have produced a range of Studio laptops for many versions of Windows, including Windows 7, Windows 8 and the latest incarnation, Windows 10 .
Other differences are based on the capabilities of the laptop or netbook. Hard drive memory is measured in Gigabytes (Gb), with the larger the number, the more programs and files you can store on your computer. Dell Studio laptops come with hard drive memory from 12Gb to 500Gb and more.
The amount of RAM memory in a computer is a measure of how fast and powerful the machine is, with the higher numbers indicating you can have more programs and files open at once. Dell Studio laptops range from 2Gb of RAM up to 16Gb and higher.
