  • Antique Georgian Engraved Glass Stirrup Cup c1820s

This is a superb example of antique English glass dating to the late Georgian period. It is a stirrup cup engraved with vines with gentle vertical ribbing to the body. It has inclusions and bubbles to the glass as is typical of the period. Measuring 17cm tall it is in reasonable condition with small chips to the bottom end and nibbling and a 2mm shallow flake off the top rim (hence the low price). This is a delightful piece, and a must for the collector of antique British glass due to it's rarity.
