    This pearlware small plate , was made in Staffordshire , circa 1840 . It has a nice moulded daisys border with a pink lustre band on the edge and is decorated with a transferprint that has been handpainted over , of monkeys racing on pigs , and reads " pig race " below . It measures 6 1/2" in diameter and is in good condition with no chips , cracks or restoration . Please see my other items for more small plates .

    This set of 4 delft faience vases were made some time during the first half of the 19th century , they bear a mark on the bases , but I have not been able to identify the maker , they are either French or Dutch . They are decorated with handpainted chinese figures and flowers and have animal finials . The two with the covers stand at 12" high and the other pair stand at 9 1/2" high . There is the usual glaze loses on the corners and edges , found on this type of wares and some chips to the covers and finials , as shown .
