There are a some nibbles on the gilding on the outer edge and overall crazing to both. Also one of the holes for hanging them is chipped although would still be able to hang. These plaques are printed and decorated in bright colours with floral sprays on a cream ground within a gilt rim.
Of particular note for the shapes and floral decoration to their beautiful teaware. Samuel started his career as, and is on record as being "a flower painter on China". in the "Cynthia " Pattern no. 8255/a.

SMALL CHIP TO REVERSE RIM BARELY SHOWS A FEW CRAZE / STRESS LINES ON REVERSE RIBS ARE RUBBED SOME SMALL CHIPS TO RIBS MOST LOOK TO BE GLAZED TOP OF RIBS IS BADLY RUBBED LOST GLAZE PROBABLY DUE TO STACKING GLAZE IS OF POOR QUALITY PLATE HAS RUBBING TO RIM ETC DUE TO ITS AGE.
The form is typical Mason’s Hydra jug with a leopard handle. Pressed on the bottom IRONSTONE CHINA. th Century Gaudy Welsh Masons Style Hydra Jugs probably by Fenton. The handles have been repaired in an obvious but honest manner and would benefit from a better restoration.
Pretty Art Deco china tea set with a backstamp with Paladin china Hughes Fenton. with a number 4823. All the pieces have been hand painted with pretty florals and is. in excellent condition. make a lovley gift.
This is a beautiful service, with a creamy yellow ground, topped with orange and blue flowers, green deco border and trimmed in a fabulous orange! Condition:- All are in fabulous condition bar two tea plates which each have a tiny slice chip to the underside, clearly shown in the photographs below.
