A beautiful original art deco mismatched English bone china tea set. The tea set consists of 2 patterns by 2 renowned makers of the period: Gladstone China and Foley China.All pieces are backstamped to the bases.
This is a 9.25" cake serving plate producedby E Brain & Co of the Staffordshire potteries bearing their potters marks on the underside with their trading style of Foley China for the 1920s. (This firm took over Coalport in 1958 and then in 1963 ceased production of FOLEY CHINA and concentrated on producing Coalport wares).
A teacup trio made by Foley EB & Co in a simple white with blue patterned edging and gilding around the rims. The back mark indicates that it was made in the 1930's era. It is in very decent condition for its age with just a few signs of wear.
