Here we have a very interesting watch from a German WW1 Airman taken by a Hertfordshire Police officer. The inscription on the pocket watch reads ‘Taken from German airman by PC Green Cuffley 4th September 1916’.
The badge, in silvered white metal, depicts an eagle flying over a small village with the German imperial crown above a large wreath. The badge is unmarked. It weighs 25 g. The badge is in excellent condition.
