Combine the support of an ankle boot with the look of a shoe with the range of Grenson men's boots . They are manufactured using the 'Goodyear Welted' process, which means the upper is stitched to a leather band, or welt, which gives the boots extra strength.
Grenson use mainly leather and suede, and of design brogue boots , which have an upper designed to look like a brogue shoe, as well as Chelsea, moccasin styles and plain designs. Using these materials allows the boots to mould to the shape of the foot which provides good support.
The majority of Grenson men's boots are made from high quality leather , though some can come in suede and all are available in a variety of different shades. Featuring a sturdy sole, these boots can feel heavy. Most will go very well with formal or smart casual outfits, though may look a bit out of place with an all out casual outfit.
Caring for your boots.
Grenson boots are handmade. The care put into their production means they are of the best quality and should last a long time. However, all shoes require care.
New leather boots may have less grip in wet weather. It's important to wear them a few times first before venturing out in the rain. Whilst leather is durable and usually holds its shape well, if left for extended periods at an awkward shape, or underneath objects, leather shoes can bend.
Cleaning and treating the leather is essential to keep it flexible. Before treating, remove all dirt with a soft cloth and then add leather polish. Leave the polish to soak in before brushing and buffing them with a soft cloth.
Suede can be wiped with a soft cloth to remove any stains. Special suede polishes and creams are available to help you maintain the fabric and normal shoe polish should never be used.
Grenson are an English shoe manufacturer formed in 1866. It became one of the first business names registered in the UK in 1913. It still uses traditional shoe making processes and one pair of shoes takes 8 weeks to make.
