  • Hornsea Pottery Concord Shape Ebony Pattern Cup and Saucer made in Ironstone

    On offer are a charming Concord Shape cup and saucer decorated with the Ebony Pattern made in Ironstone by Hornsea Pottery, Yorkshire England. Designed 1981 in the Concord Shape, Ebony is a two tone pattern, a dark Ebony black which contrasts with a cream glaze the colour of old ivory, which is used on the interior and top of the cup, the saucer is finished in the ivory cream glaze on the surface which has an Ebony line around it near the rim, the underside is Ebony Black. The cup is 8.5cm in diameter by 6.5cm deep, the saucer is 15cm across and they are in good condition free from chips or cracks. On the underside are the Hornsea Ebony Mark, Oven to Tableware, Microwave, Dishwasher and Freezer safe. The unpackaged weight is 451 grams.

    On offer is a charming cup and saucer decorated with the Palatine pattern, made by Hornsea Pottery Yorkshire, England. The Palatine pattern was designed by Lord David Queensberry and Martin Hunt and uses the same shapes as the Contrast range; it has a dark semi matt geometric design set on a light chocolate brown body with white interior to the cup and centre of the saucer. The cup is approximately 8.5cm in diameter at the rim, by 6.5cm deep, the saucer is 15cm across and they are in good condition free from damage chips or cracks, with just the odd light surface mark due to use or age. On the base is the Hornsea Lancaster Vitramic Palatine mark and the unpacked weight is 440 grams.

    On offer is a delightful cup and saucer decorated with the contrast pattern made by Hornsea Pottery, Yorkshire, England in the mid 1970s. Lord David Queensberry and Martin Hunt designed contrast, in 1974; they produced a very successful range, which was only discontinued by Hornsea in 1992. The finish is a satin chocolate brown glaze and at the bottom is a gloss brown stripe with a contrasting white gloss line above, with a white interior. The cup is 8.5cm in diameter by 6.5cm deep the saucer is 15cm across and they are in good condition free from damage chips or cracks. On their bases are the Hornsea Pottery marks and the unpackaged weight is 466 grams.
