I have here for sale a book entitled FOOL OF QUALITY OR THE HISTORY OF HENRY EARL OF MORELAND, PUBLISHED BY EVANS AROUND 1816 (PLATES ARE DATED 1816).

The set comprises: The Tennant of Wildfell Hall and Agnes Grey by Anne Bronte, Villette, Shirley, Jane Eyre and The Professor by Charlotte Bronte, and Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.

Ihave here for sale a book entitled THE CONFESSIONS OF HARRY LORREQUER by Charles Lever. This FIRST EDITION book was published by William Curry, Dublin in 1839. Illustrated with 22 engraved plates by PHIZ.

A collection of the misadventures of Tyll Owlglass, in attractive leather binding. A impudent trickster originating in Middle Low German folklore as Till Eulenspiegel, Owlglass was largely brought into English literature during the late Nineteenth Century, though he appears in Ben Jonson's play.

The narrator is the Reverend Mr. Yorick, who is slyly represented to guileless readers as Sterne's barely disguised alter ego. The book recounts his various adventures, usually of the amorous type, in a series of self-contained episodes.

There are also two fold-out b/w illustrations and 13 full page b/w illustrations. Brown leather hardboards with front hardboard detached and title page missing. Back hardboard partially detached and spine torn at top and bottom and split down the middle.

The work of a young novelist at the height of his powers, Nicholas Nickleby is one of the touchstones of the English comic novel. The novel's loose, haphazard progress harks back to the picaresque novels of the 18th century, particularly those of Smollett and Fielding.

I have here for sale a book entitledALL ROUND THE WORLD AN ILLUSTRATED RECORD OF VOYAGES, TRAVELS AND ADVENTURES IN ALL PARTS OF THE GLOBE, EDITED BY W F AINSWORTH, Published in 1861 at The Office.

It is the Cooke's Edition and although has no publication date, the b/w engraving s are dated 1810. There are 13 plates in total.

Master Humphrey's Clock was a weekly periodical edited and written entirely by Charles Dickens and published from 4 April 1840 to 4 December 1841. It was published by Chapman and Hall, London in 1841.

BARNABY RUDGE. Barnaby Rudge by Charles Dickens. Barnaby Rudge was the fifth of Dickens' novels to be published. It had originally been planned to appear as his first, but changes of publisher led to many delays, and it first appeared in serial form inMaster Humphrey's Clock from February to November 1841.

The Vicar of Wakefield. A colour illustrated edition of The Vicar of Wakefield, a novel by Oliver Goldsmith. With one hundred and fourteen coloured illustrations by Poinson. The Vicar of Wakefield was written in 1761 and 1762, and published in 1766, and was one of the most popular and widely read 18th-century novels among Victorians.

Haunts of Ancient Peace. [Alfred Austin]. The first edition of this work by Alfred Austin. First Edition,Illustrated,Leather Binding,Signed Binding. Illustrated throughout, with a frontispiece and nine further illustrations.

The novel shows its serial origin: it is very long (an undated but clearly very old edition with tiny type fills 551 pages) and its events occur over many years and in several countries before the reader reaches the predictable conclusion.

This book is in good condition which was printed and issued in 1914, so it is over 100 years old. See photos for a better indication on overall condition. It is an illustrated edition, illustrations by E. J. Sullivan in black and white - 589 pages.

One board is missing, the other is detached.
