A lovely vintage mahogany bookcase. We date this bookcase to the first half of the 20th century. The bookcase comes as a single section. The bookcase sits on downward tapered square section legs at the front and oblong section legs at the rear. The interior is divided down the middle vertically by a central rail. The bookcase comprises six shelved areas with fixed position shelves. The bookcase has an attractive carved top rail. The bookcase has an overall height of 51" (131cm), a width of 32" (81cm) and a depth of 16" (41cm). Each compartment has an internal height of 13" (33cm), a width of 13.5" (34cm) and a depth of 15" (38cm). This lovely vintage mahogany bookcase remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage.
The bookcase has fabulous glazed doors with original glass which are in good order. All the doors are lockable with keys supplied. The bookcase will dismantle into 3 pieces. We date this bookcase between 1850 and 1890.
OUTSTANDING ANTIQUE STYLE BEVAN FUNNELL REPRODUX MAHOGANY BOOKCASE. This is a superb antique style mahogany bookcase. The bookcase was manufactured by Bevan funnell/reprodux who were one of the superior manufacturers of antique style furniture.
A lovely vintage mahogany bookcase display cabinet. We date this bookcase cabinet to the first half of the 20th century. There is a presentation plaque inside dating it to the 1930s. It was presented to Mr. & Mrs. Williamson for their wedding from the staff of Cardowan colliery, Stepps. 14th September 1932. The bookcase sits on four sturdy small carved cabriole legs. The front of the bookcase is of three panel design with each panel being a side hinged door. The centre door being a solid bow front and the two outer doors being glazed. The central door front has a central flame mahogany veneered panel framed with a moulded edge and applied decoration to the top. The outer doors are glazed with glass panes housed in wood glazing strips forming an attractive geometric pattern.

A lovely vintage mahogany bureau bookcase. We date this bureau bookcase to the early 20th century. The bureau bookcase comes in two sections, the bookcase top and the bureau base. The bookcase top sits on dowels onto the bureau base. The bureau base sits on four square section legs with reeded detail. The top section is fitted with a small stepped cornice. The top bookcase section has two glazed doors glazed with glass panes held in wood glazing strips producing a pleasing geometric pattern. The right hand door is fitted with a working lock (key supplied). The left hand door is secured with a side mounted top and bottom lever bolts. The interior is fitted with three height adjustable wooden shelves which sit on metal pegs housed in a series of holes to the front and rear of the side panels.
