The restoration of the bodywork is a bit of a fiddle taking everything a part, and keeping things safe and in an order whereby you can get it back together. You also need to be sure that the threads don't get blocked with the new coating.
Brought this fantastic and beautiful item 25 years ago without the keys and cash note lever weights. Both keys and note weights are easily available on-line and authentic keys and levers at that. Cash bell works when attached (removed for silence).
I had been told that the import date to the uk was 1953, however I now know this to be incorrect and import date would have been circa 1906. The cash drraw top has been replaced with a lovely brass top to match the whole machine.
National Cash register in working order had this serviced by a guy who use to work for the company back in its day .this is bigger than normal ones I was told it is quite rare I have the original operating book .will be sold separate. I will give buyer the option to buy the manual with the cash regester before I sell separate. Can post at buyers cost and responsibility.
