Orange Lipsticks

Orange lipsticks, from vibrant tangerines, to deep red-oranges and everything in between, offer a unique twist on other shades. They're warm, fiery and a little bit different and they look good against most skin tones.

A bright, sunny orange works well with paler skin, a striking neon looks good against olive skin, a soft apricot complements any skin tone and a rich, deep orange looks fabulous next to darker skin.

Most high street make up brands including MAC, Rimmel, Maybelline and Revlon, provide lipsticks in shades of orange. Bold, fruity, frivolous and sometimes even fragrant, they can be worn with a peachy blusher for a young and fresh look.

Traditional orange lipsticks

Available in gloss and matte finishes, orange lipsticks are easy to apply and can last for hours. Matte finish lipsticks tend to last a little longer than gloss ones, but both are great for quickly adding full colour to the lips.

Liquid orange lipsticks

Liquid lipsticks can help women to achieve a sumptuous glossy, big impact look. They need reapplying more often than other types of lipstick, especially when eating and drinking, but liquid lipsticks tend to be moisturising, so they're great for those with dry skin.

Cream orange lipsticks

Cream lipsticks are softer than a regular lipstick, but firmer than a lip gloss, they sit as a happy medium between the two. Available in matte and sheer finishes, cream lipsticks often have moisturising and hydrating properties, so can be used in place of a lip balm. Cream orange lipsticks are great for spicing up an everyday look.

They're tantalizingly tempting, so it's no surprise that orange lipsticks can be pretty addictive. With so many options available, from budget friendly high street brands right up to the most prestigious beauty brands, a single orange lipstick can soon become a vast collection of different shades and styles.
