Paisley Tablecloths

Whether you're serving up your signature dish for the family or hosting a party with friends, a paisley tablecloth will not only protect your table from spills and scratches, but add an eye-catching touch to the dinner table.

Paisley tablecloths for every occasion

Paisley tablecloths are available in a range of colours, designs, materials and sizes. From brightly coloured psychedelic pinks and blues to more neutral paisley designs in creams and whites, there are paisley tablecloths for everyday dining and special occasions alike.

Paisley tablecloths come in a whole host of materials, including PVC , oilcloth and vinyl which are quick and easy to wipe down and keep clean. Natural cottons are perfect for alfresco dining in summer, and machine washable and durable polycottons for regular use at the dining table. Depending on the fabric, most tablecloths come with detailed instructions for cleaning and washing.

They also come in a variety of shapes and sizes to suit any table, including round dining tables, picnic benches and square and rectangle extendable tables. For picnics in the park, a paisley tablecloth will also act as a ground mat.

For grander dining events, there are a number of designer paisley tablecloths from prominent designers including Ralph Lauren, April Cornell and Cynthia Rowley.

About the paisley motif

While the paisley motif has its roots in Persia, the name derives from the Scottish town of Paisley where paisley textile designs were produced in the 19th century - an influence from Indian cashmere wool shawls brought back from the colonies by soldiers.

With a rich history, the paisley motif has become a cherished motif for everything from 1960s psychedelic flares and tunics to contemporary interior design.

Brightly coloured paisley designs are perfect for Indian and vintage-inspired spaces filled with patterns, colours and antique furniture, while more neutral paisley patterns are just the thing for farmhouse and shabby-chic style interiors.
