Feel at Home in the City in a Peugeot 107 Hatchback

The Peugeot 107 hatchback was developed as a joint design project between Peugeot, Citroen, and Toyota. The resulting vehicle was sold as the Peugeot 107, Citroen C1, and Toyota Aygo. For fans of comfortable city driving, eBay offers a selection of Peugeot 107s at various price points.

Compact comfort in a Peugeot 107

Due to its compact length and width, a tight turning circle of only nine meters, and electronic power-assisted steering as standard, the Peugeot 107 is useful in congested areas and is therefore considered as a 'city' car. Faring well in fuel consumption, the front-wheel-drive Peugeot 107 falls into a moderate insurance group, making it a good choice for new drivers and young learners.

What body and transmission options are available?

The Peugeot 107 is available as a three- or five-door hatchback and is equipped with a 1-litre engine. Transmission options are a 5-speed manual and, for the Peugeot 107 automatic, a semi-automatic 2-Tronic 5-speed gearbox. The interiors of both the 3- and 5-door versions of the Peugeot 107 provide seating for up to four people. Although the luggage capacity is rather limited at 139 litres, the rear seats can be folded down to accommodate almost five times as much for the weekly shop at an impressive 751 litres of cargo space.

Specification changes to the Peugeot 107

During 2009, several aesthetic changes were made to the Peugeot 107. The facelift included a wider front grille, plus modifications to the front bumper, wheel trims, and the interior. As well as an expanded choice of seating fabrics, the centre console was also revised. Further modifications were made in the early part of 2012 which included changes to the bonnet as well as a redesign of the bumper and grille to include integrated daytime running lights. The interior received a higher level of trim, which included a leather-covered steering wheel. After that, in 2013, there were several additions to the as-standard safety features which had previously been optional.

Safety features of the Peugeot 107

Manufactured between 2005 and 2014, there are a number of Peugeot variants available on eBay. Depending on the year of release, features to look out for include:

  • Four airbags as standard with a deactivation switch for the passenger side.
  • Side impact and thorax airbags are standard on models produced from July 2013 onwards, although previous models did offer them as an optional extra.
  • All models have a driver's seatbelt reminder, but this was only added to the passenger side from July 2013, so check listings carefully to ensure you have the safety features you need.
  • ABS with electronic brake-force distribution and cornering stability control.
  • Isofix child seat anchoring points.
