Philosophia Rationalis sive Logica. “Christian Wolff (less correctly Wolf, also known as Wolfius; ennobled as Christian Freiherr von Wolff; 24 January 1679 – 9 April 1754) was a German philosopher. Wolff was the most eminent German philosopher between Leibniz and Kant.

Gottlieb Heinecci Operum. Johann Gottlieb Heineccius was a German philosophical jurist from Thuringia. He studied theology at Leipzig and law at Halle. It was at Halle University that Heineccius was appointed professor of philosophy as well as professor of jurisprudence.

De Officio Hominis & Civis juxta Legem Naturalem Libri Duo. By S. Pufendorfii [Samuel Pufendorf]. A scarce copy of this work on natural law and civil law by Samuel Pufendorf. In discussing these issues he considers the character of natural religion.

Vellum slightly grubby, lacks ties, slightly rubbed, old ink stain towards foot of fore-edge of text-block, just catching page edges.

Bound in leather, with gilt lettering and design to spine, also with 6 raised bands. Lettering mounted on black leather. Gilt design to front board. Small Quarto: 25 x 20.5 x 5 cm. Pages, clean and intact. Inscription to front free-endpaper in pen. Minor foxing through-out. Front and rear boards completely off, with clean straight cuts to spine joints. Usual bumps and rubs, with scuff marks to extremities. Tied together with archival cotton tape. While we seek perfection, we are still human and occasionally make mistakes.
