    Beautiful hand decorated bowl and cover with attached plate. Believe this to be a piece made in Chantilly France, painted with the Japanese Kakiemon pattern.   • 18thC Worcester Blue & White Tea Bowl & Saucer " Milkmaid Pattern" C1775-90

    This super late 18th Century English porcelain Tea Bowl and Saucer were made at the Worcester Factory around 1775-90. The Worcester underglaze blue open crescent mark is on the base of both pieces. They are decorated in underglaze blue in a pattern known as "The Milkmaid Pattern". The pattern is illustrated on page 268 of "Worcester Blue & White Porcelain 1751-1790" by Branyan,French & Sandon. There is a chip to the glaze and a tiny nibble on the side of the foot rim of the Tea Bowl, no other damage or restoration . There is some wear to the gilding on the rim of the tea bowl from use.​ Approx size: Tea Bowl 3" (7.5cm) across the top rim and 1.75" (4cm) high, Saucer 4.75" (12cms) in diameter.
