  • C.18th Hard Paste Tea Bowl & Saucer Bristol / New Hall: Spiral Wreathing

This is a late 18th century hard paste porcelain tea bowl and matching saucer. It is decorated in overglaze enamels ( red, puce and green only) in a pattern that resembles, but is much more detailed than New Hall pattern no.195. So I don't think these are New Hall. The saucer has visible spiral wreathing and the bowl has flaws to the body - So It is likely that these are made at the Champions Bristol factory. ( Note: I have a second matching teabowl and saucer of slightly different size - see my other listings for these) Size: cup about 8.7 cm x 5.1 cm : saucer 12.7 cm x 2.9 cm Weight 153 grammes Condition: Saucer has a hairline to centre, tea bowl has a hairline crack in the rim. See the photographs for exact condition.
