Star Wars Collectables
One of the most successful movie franchise of all time, Star Wars, has many different collectables for a wide range of fans. Whether you're a long-term fan or you've just got into the franchise after watching the Disney reboots, it's easy to boost your collection of Star War memorabilia.
Action Figures and Accessories
Kenner produced Star Wars figures for the original trilogy (A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi). Many vintage figures have different versions and some variations of a character may be more valuable than others.
In 1990 Hasbro bought Kenner and currently produce all Star Wars action figures.
As well as the figures themselves, you'll also find replacement cloaks, clothing and weapons for action figures.
Costumes, clothing and masks
Star Wars clothing comes in all shapes and sizes, from The Force Awakens t-shirts to a full set of Storm Trooper Battle Armour. You'll also find character masks, such as Chewbacca. Keep an eye out for genuine costumes or props used in the making of the films. These could include costume items worn by main characters. If your budget doesn't stretch that far, treat yourself to a pair of R2-D2 slippers.
No self-respecting Jedi is complete without a lightsaber. Whether it's for settling the score between the dark and light side with your mates, or completing your cosplay look for the opening night of the next instalment, you'll find a whole selection in a variety of colours. As well as the standard single blade lightsabers, look out for Darth Maul‘s double-bladed and General Grievous' spinning double-ended lightsaber.
Many lightsabers are extendable and others have blades that light up. Some make a sound. You can even find limited edition lightsabers boxed in Perspex with a plaque showing their issue number.
Other Star Wars merchandise
Other collectable items include toys such as Micro Machines or gifts given out with McDonald's Happy Meals. Vintage AMT or Revell models are also available.
Printed memorabilia includes annuals, books and magazines, as well as posters and art prints.
