  • CRIMSON GLORY CLIMBING ROSE VERY SCENTED REPEAT BARE ROOT ** ANY 4 FOR 3 **

$CRIMSON ROSES CLIMBING ROSE This variety probably had the longest reign as the worlds favourite. The flowers start from almost black, deep red buds and open up double, crimson and almost velvet in texture and sight. The flower stalks are weak so they do hang their heads which is rather nice for a climber as you can look up into the heart of the flowers. The scent will leave you weak at the knees; strong and sweet. It will flower spectacularly during June and July and repeat intermittently through the season and into late autumn/early winter. The leaves are almost evergreen in mild winters. Reaches an approximate height of 10 feet (120 inches or 300 cm). Is happy situated in full sun. As with all roses, they are decidous so will lose their leaves in autumn/winter. They will grow back in Spring.

This climbing variety was created later in 1954 by Gurteen and Ritsen nursery. Seen as an improved version of Crimson Glory, with larger, shapelier flowers which keep their crimson colour longer.
