Takamine

Takamine guitar equipment

Based in Nakatsugawa, Japan, Takamine is world famous for its steel-string electric and acoustic guitars

Having been founded in 1962, by 1978 they had become one of the first companies to showcase acoustic-electric guitars on to the market. They also pioneered the creation of the preamplifier-equalizer component.

Nowadays, Takamine guitars can be pretty tricky to find, especially in the UK. But, fortunately, theres a massive range of quality guitars and accessories to choose from.

Takamine classical acoustic electric guitars

Able to handle the demands of stage performances night after night, the GC5CE (sister model of the GC1) is a highly popular Takamine electro-acoustic guitar. It comes with rosewood back and sides and fan-braced solid spruce top that rings out a rich, warm, nylon-string sound. Stylish in construction and with all the bells and whistles youd expect including a Takamine electronics system and Venetian-style cutaway, the GC5CE is second to none.

The rosewood fingerboard and slim mahogany neck bring a tactile playability and feel, whilst the three-band EQ controls make for a stunning amplified sound and versatility.
