Large mid century vase. The trefoil form textured body has a thrown rim. A great decorators piece, no chips, cracks or scratches but some signs of use. 23cms tall x 22 widest. Postal charges reflect weight and dimensions.
This lovely swirl pattern vase is evocative of the distinctive hand blown style developed over centuries by Venetian craftsman on the island of Murano. The striking midnight blue upper part gently fades into a clear middle section which in turn blends into a light green base.
About 1/2” down from the top lip there is very finely detailed gilding in an Renaissance style panel with a gilded Admiral Nelson breaking the pattern circle. They are beautifully made with faceted stem.

This is a good large trumpet shaped vase dating from the 1930s. It is hand blown and hand cut in lead crystal glass. No makers marks. Size: about 7 3/4 inches high x 6 1/8 inches wide ( about 20 x 15.5 cm) Weight: 984 grammes before packing Condition: No chips or cracks, heavy wear to the base and some visible wear inside below the first band of cutting - this disappears when wet - it looks good and displays well when in use see the photos.
It has a large off centre polished pontil mark. The outside of the body is smooth but with vertical ridges inside. The clear glass has a slight yellow tint especially around the thick base. The polished off centre pontil is reminiscent of 19th century Victorian glassware.
Clearly signed on the Base with "Flygsfors 60", and “Coquille”. The condition is good with only the lightest signs of use which do not impact on the display quality of this piece. It stands 20.7cms high.

The body of the vase sits on a baluster stem and a solid star cut base. The Waterford Glass House produced a wonderful range of celery vases featuring the fan escallop edge, like this vase during the 1820's, which they again produced in later years.
