About Aga Little Wenlock
The Aga Little Wenlock is a wood burning stove made by the creators of the famous classic cookers. They can also run on solid fuels like anthracite or coal.
Hand made from cast iron, they can be used to heat any room and make a great main hearth for a flat. A stove keeps more heat in the room than an open fire, which loses heat up the chimney. Although the heat source is a natural fire you can control the heat output, aided by Aga's 'Active Airwash System'. Because cast iron has natural heat retention properties, these stoves will even continue to warm the room after the fire has gone out - perfect for a bedroom.
Wood burners are very fuel efficient, and the Little Wenlock is most efficient as a wood burning stove, producing up to 8kW of heat, almost twice as much as you can expect from another solid fuel. As a wood burner, it will need refuelling roughly every 90 minutes, while other solid fuel will last more than twice as long.
The Little Wenlock is an attractively curved rectangular stove in matt black with chrome grate bars, and would fit into most styles of room. The Little Wenlock Classic is slightly more traditional-looking, with a mid-grey finish, and has some important additional features which make it even more efficient (with more frequent wood refuelling). The Classic SE is the smoke-exempt version, designed specifically to burn wood in smoke-controlled zones.
A stove like this requires a suitable flue outlet.
