Bamix is a well-known producer of kitchen equipment and has been a successful manufacturer and distributor for several decades. Bamix began when inventor Roger Perrinjaquet designed a hand held appliance and applied for a patent in 1950. The machine he designed was the first ever stick blender. He called it a âBamixâ, which is an abbreviation of âbattre et mixerâ - French for beat and mix. In the mid-50s Perrinjaquet sold the rights to his patent to a small electrical motor manufacturing firm and the first Bamix mixers were on the shelves by the end of the year.
Since the 1950âs Swiss company Bamix have been improving on the original stick blender model and bringing out new additions that can perform a variety of other functions. The current cache of Bamix products includes the Swissline, Gastro 200, de Luxe and Mono versions. Bamix stick blenders can be used to carry out all types of cooking and food preparation tasks. Bamix products make light work of chopping, mincing, blending, whisking and mixing, making it the equivalent of a food processor, mixer and blender in one! A Bamix stick blender can be used to whip up cream, create a quick omelette and make baby food that you can freeze and use later.
