About Faith Shoes

In the UK shoes market, Faith was a name that demanded respect for more than 40 years operating in the sector.

The first Faith store was set up back in 1964 by Samuel Faith - a London based accountant - and his wife. During the course of the following years, more and more stores were added to the firm’s portfolio, most of them based in the South of England. When Samuel retired, he passed the baton onto his son Jonathan, who chose to sell the chain to Bridgepoint Capital during December 2004 for £65 million.

In 2010, the company entered administration, and was purchased by the department store chain Debenhams. However, all stand-alone stores were closed as part of the administration process: only the concessions within the department store remained.

Because of the respect that the Faith name commands, their shoes are still available to purchase on the web. They cover a wide range of different bases, including shoes for professional, casual and special occasions.

Those looking to buy a pair of Faith shoes have a range of options to choose from. Flats or heels, leather or suede, wedding or work: the range offers the perfect accompaniment to almost any occasion.
