About Panasonic 18650
Panasonic is one the best known electronics brands in the world. Founded in Osaka, Japan more than a century ago, the company has earned a reputation for producing high quality products which stand the test of time.
Originally known as the Matsushita Electric Industrial Co Ltd, Panasonic first established itself in the bicycle lamps and plug socket markets. Following World War II, the company began to branch out into new areas, including motors, vacuum components, electric irons and household light fixtures.
Panasonic produced its first ever television in 1952 and regularly innovated in the five decades since. In 2013, the firm launched the world's first ever Ultra HD TV with 4K 50/60p inputs.
During the 1960s, Panasonic moved into the audio market through its prestigious Technics brand and its range of SL-1200 direct-drive record turntables remain the required standard for professional DJs to this day.
The manufacturer's place in the history of electronics has long been cemented and the business even operates its own museum on the site that Konosuke Matsushita founded the business back in 1918.
Panasonic bought out its Japanese rival Sanyo in 2009. This acquisition helped to expand the company's range of products as well as its global presence.
Rechargeable 18650 Li-Ion batteries are among Panasonic's core range of consumer goods. They can be used for most household devices and boast much greater capacity than many other brands of batteries. Unlike some older battery types, they do not need to be fully drained before they can be recharged.
