About Wilo Gold Pump
The Wilo Gold Pump is designed for the circulation of water in open and closed circuit central heating and air-conditioning systems. Intended for use in domestic systems, it comes with a 6m delivery head maximum and a temperature range of -10°c to 110°c.
Pumps are either three or single speed depending on model, with manual speed selection via a switch. The pump?s motor has a wet rotor and self-lubricating bearings, enhancing wearability. Pumps weigh 2.5Kg and are compatible with a 1½? British Standard Pipe connection.
The minimum suction pressure required to prevent caviation related noise and provide adequate bearing lubrication is 1.5m at >82°c, 3m at >95°c and 10m at >100°c.
Wilo Gold Pumps are designed for both functionality and safety, and are both IP44 rated and kitemarked. The maximum service pressure is 10 bar, with a maximum ambient temperature resistance of 40°c.
Conscious of both user cost and the environment, Wilo ensure that each pump also boasts an impressive category C energy efficiency rating and a maximum 30Kw application. Wilo Gold Pumps are in insulation class F, with binder materials stable at 155°c. Additionally each pump has IP42 protection, meaning they are protected against solid objects over 1.0mm, such as wires, and against vertically falling drops of water.
Wilo Gold Pumps are designed for low maintenance. The circulator does not require special servicing and the motor bearings lubricate using the liquid pumped by the unit. However, at the beginning of each heating season, or when starting up after a prolonged period of disuse, it?s sensible to ensure that the circulator is turning freely.
