A well know brand, Yankee are widely recognised for their range of scented candles. They come in a distinctive glass jar and have unusually scented candles with many seasonal, limited-edition varieties.
The Yankee candle vanilla cupcake scent is said by buyers to be good enough to eat. Fresh and sweet it is the perfect aroma for a weekend while enjoying a cup of coffee and reading a paper. Other scents available include black cherry, pearl tart, clean cotton, pink sands, lemon lavender, cinnamon stick, pink dragon fruit, fluffy towels, and Christmas cookie.
As the largest scented candle manufacturer in the USA, Yankee is headquartered in Massachusetts. The company was started by Michael Kittredge who made his first candle as a gift for his mother in the late 1960s. He started making candles for neighbours, and things grew exponentially from there. The company now has an entire committee dedicated to researching fragrances and another for testing out the scents for authenticity.
A good, little known tip, is to make use of the Yankee candle jar after youâve used up the candle. Once all the wax is out, just pour in enough rubbing alcohol to cover the base and allow the jar to sit for a few days. This softens the glue and releases the candle base.
