History of PianoMaking music with thunderous momentum
The piano plays tunes of the past, present, and future
Instruments that use vibrating strings to create sound have been around since prehistoric times. These instruments served as inspiration for Bartolomeo Cristofori of Italy when he invented the first piano in the early 1700s. These square pianos were commonly used throughout the 1800s until softer shaped varieties were born. Today, pianos come in many shapes and sizes; some of them produce digital sound and take up very little floor space.
