Transportation: Keeping people and goods on the move
Beginning in the 1920s, people relied on various forms of transportation to efficiently move bulk quantities of goods across the country. Soon thereafter, people began to depend on trains, planes, and cars to visit friends, get to work, and make life more enjoyable. Model airplanes and trains became popular playthings as well, demonstrating how much influence transportation had on modern culture. That fascination still exists, as people eagerly take road trips and book airplane tickets to feed their wanderlust.
