Klarna installments are available for many items on eBay with a total value between £30 and £2,000 per order in most categories.
How to pay with Klarna
During the payment process, you can log in to your Klarna account, or create an account. You’ll need to provide the bank account details that will be used to pay the installments.
Before completing your purchase, you’ll be shown all the details about your payment plan. Klarna will also send you an email with your payment plan.
For financing of £200 or more, you can download the contract with Klarna directly after signing it. Klarna will send you notifications when installments are due.
Klarna Pay in 3
With Klarna Pay in 3, you have the option of paying for your eBay purchase in 3 equal monthly installments.
The first payment is due one month after placing your order, and all payments are automatically collected monthly from your bank account linked to Klarna.
When financing purchases over £200 you sign an installment purchase contract via an online form with Klarna.
How to pay with Klarna Pay in 3
If Klarna Pay in 3 is available as a payment option, then it will be shown at checkout.
- Select Klarna Installment Purchase as your payment method and confirm by selecting Pay with Klarna. You’ll then be redirected to Klarna.
- You have the option to select your monthly installments and the period. The debit interest rate for your selected installment payment will also be displayed.
- Now enter your personal details.
- You may be asked for your date of birth
- For orders of £200 or more, Klarna will ask you to sign a contract for an installment purchase via an online form. To do this, simply follow the instructions on your screen and answer the questions displayed. Klarna will also ask you to enter your bank details during this process
- Confirm your installment plan and terms.
- After you've confirmed the payment, you'll be redirected to eBay.
When can I pay with Klarna installments?
If Klarna is available, you’ll see it as a payment option at checkout.
Klarna Financing
Klarna Financing allows you to pay in 6, 12, 24 or 36 monthly installments. You’ll see the option to pay over time at checkout, and you must make each payment by the due date. You can also repay all or part of the credit at any time at no extra cost.
How to pay with Klarna Financing
- Add the item to your basket and select Pay Over Time at checkout.
- You’ll be asked to provide information about yourself to check your eligibility.
Once approved, your payment plan will be created and your eBay order will be automatically placed. It’s a short application and you won't have to leave eBay.
To be eligible for Klarna Financing you must be at least 18 years old and a UK resident. Your application is subject to Klarna's review and your financial circumstances. Klarna will do a full credit check when you apply for Klarna Financing.
Klarna Financing options are credit plans with repayment terms ranging between 6 and 36 months. Interest rates will vary, depending on the credit agreement, but will be clearly displayed at checkout. Monthly installments are collected automatically from your bank account via direct debit. It’s important to ensure you have enough funds in your account to cover the repayment on your due date each month.

Repayments and interest on overdue payments
The first payment to Klarna is due one month after the order, and subsequent payments are automatically debited monthly from your bank account linked to Klarna. You can view your payments by logging into your Klarna account.
Late payment fees
If you don’t pay your installments on time, you may incur late payment fees. Please go to the Klarna website for more information on reminder or late payment fees.
Refunds
If you receive a refund for your eBay purchase (e.g. because you returned an item), Klarna will refund the amount to your bank account and/or adjust your payment plan accordingly. This usually takes 5-7 business days.

- Is your order eligible for Klarna installments?
Klarna isn't available for all items on eBay.co.uk (see excluded categories). You may need to choose another payment method to complete your purchase - Have you entered your bank account details correctly?
If you want to pay with Klarna installments, you'll need to enter your payment information during the checkout process. Please make sure that you have entered your bank account details and personal information correctly
Why was my Klarna order declined?
There are several reasons why Klarna may decline the selected payment method. Here are some examples:
- Bank details provided couldn't be verified
- Identity verification failed
- There's a delay in payment from another order
- Klarna credit check failure
