Excellent, Excellent, Excellent, etc., etc., etc. The meter arrived earlier than expected, having been thoroughly wrapped & packed to ensure safety in transit. The description & ebay photographs were completely accurate as both the meter & case are in very, very good condition - matched by a very reasonable price. Additionally, Eric had fitted the meter with new batteries making it immediately functional out of the box. Overall, very impressive. Highly recommend the seller. Perfect transaction.

  • Tack sharp images and with lashings of creamy Bokeh! Mmmm!

It is said that this is one of the sharpest lenses Nikon has ever made. I don't know if this is true because I haven't tried them all (though I do have about 14). Anyway, I wasn't disappointed. For a portrait lens it doesn't get much better than this. f2.0 is maybe not one of the 'fastest' lenses, but to be honest, any wider than that and the depth of field is so shallow it is hardly useable. The best thing about this lens though is the variable Bokeh (background blur). Again, it doesn't get much better than this. The term 'creamy' Bokeh is very apt here. Loved it! I have attached a snap of our dog out in the snow. This was shot at f3.2 and event then, the depth of field is really shallow; I think his nose was the sharpest part of the image, even though I wanted his eyes to be (they ...

  • Little brother

I already had it's bigger brother, the 135mm 2.0 DC, so I knew what I was in for. It's so sharp on my Nikon D800E that I can crop into details you wouldn't believe was there. The DC function is amazing. When shooting portraits it's possible to isolate a face completely from the background, even at f/5.6. The bokeh is very pleasing and the lens is more handy when it comes to tight situations compared to it's sibling. I use it for landscape shooting as well and the amount of detail it reveals is outstanding. There is of course no focus motor in the lens so you must have a body with a "screw drive". The lens has NO linear distortion just like it's bigger brother. This is probably the sharpest 105mm lens Nikon has ever manufactured. They are still making it today but you never know. It's all ...
