    Very good receiver with a nice user interface

    I got my son one of these for Christmas and we installed it together. I liked it so much I ordered one for myself and got a camera with it. Everything was so easy to connect. The manual is very good and I've made use of the samera and usb cable already. I chose this unit because of the icon size and layout, plus the location of the volume buttons. I love the feel of the buttons and prefer them on the bottom as they are. The one thing I don't like is the 3-5ft usb cables coming out of the unit back. We put them in the glove box of my son's truck and I pulled one out at the passenger side kick panel and left one in the dash in my truck. Would prefer one usb port in the front. Oh, I drilled a hole in the panel trim I bought to go with it for the microphone. Instead of having the mic ...

    Good overall, but with a few major design flaws

    Overall is good, but a few major design/build flaws: - NO settings are saved between battery disconnects! Anything that you set up, including steering wheel controls programming, disappears after the battery is disconnected. For that much money, I expected it to be included. - No mute/off button. How come they can't make a mute button, to turn off the sound easily? I have to push on the volume all the way down, for it to "mute". Unacceptable. - Flimsy aftermarket dashboard kit screw holes. Metra kit worked fine for my car, but the holes for screws are made poorly, and I had issues securing sides of the unit.

    Worth every penny

    Nice power and plenty of features. Great sound I love the EQ on it, the screen sensitivity is great car play works like charm connects to Bluetooth perfect as well. It’s definitely worth it IMO.

    Solid upgrade for my 2016 mb sprinter

    Agree with flimsy mounting screw provision. But unit works great for non oem backup camera. And sound and auto dim is good. I like the hardware buttons for volume and tuning. This allows me to keep rear camera on display. I don't have steering wheel controls. Supports both Android and carplay.

    Sony XAV-AX5000 from an Android user. Overall Positive but some negative.

    PROS: 1.Syncs fast (less than 8 seconds) with your android phone via usb cable (and charging your phone). 2. Touchscreen is very responsive. So much Better than the Sony 770B (early model). 3. Gives you two usb hubs, so you can have a back usb stick and stick it in the glove compartment or passenger side area. while the second one can be customized in the front. CONS: 1. Does not have google maps pre-installed, must sync android phone. Would have been better if Android Auto was part of it as a stand alone media receiver and use your phone only as updates. 2. iPods don't work well with the 2nd usb. very disappointed.
