    Closer to the friendly, more carefree so...

    Closer to the friendly, more carefree sound of their first album, Cracked Rear View, than the more serious sounding Fairweather Johnson. So if you liked CRV, this would be the next one to listen to. A couple of the ballads are more schmalzy and glossy sounding (who let in the orchestra?), but overall, it’s the same fun, rootsy Hootie & The Blowfish one would expect.
