    Reliable and accurate component.

    Excellent replacement! I tried a generic cassette with an all new Shimano drivetrain but despite having a new chain and new rear mech the chain always jumped in gear 7. I also felt the shifting wasn't very precise. It was sluggish and unreliable, despite dedicated attention to cable tension. Abandoned the generic cassette for this Shimano Alivio/Sora HG400. Instant fix and now my shifting is clean, accurate and reliable. No more jumping. No more compromising. No more generic components for me.

    Retro bike

    This item is ideal for old school bikes. Fitted this to my 25 Yr old trek. It was an exact replacement. I had previously fitted another type, but it ruined the look of the bike. Sure it would work well on newer bikes, if it fits.
