These guides are full of color photos and so handy for looking up new vintage model acquisitions or details on all scales, especially if I've already put down the computer and don't want to crank it up again. I've recently realized for instance, that the Family Arabians were actually created in families at points in the past & have clever matching names. Just great for quick reference.

Collector's guides by this author are helpful to the Breyer collector, and should be owned by Sellers as well. Perhaps that would cut down on all these Hong Kong models incorrectly being listed as Breyers. The layout of the book is excellent, and there are tons of photos and value listings. My only complaints are that many of the photos have a slightly orange cast to them, making it difficult to determine true color, and some values do not seem to be accurate.
I highly recommend this book to any breyer collector. Every horse up to i believe 2003 or 2004 (maybe even 2005) is listed. It gives you a general idea of how much your horses are worth. You can also see the older horses that you may have never known existed! breyer colored pages with accurate pictures for those who are just starting off in the hobby!
This book is a must have for the Breyer Model Horse Collector. The pictures are very well done, it is intersting to browse through and view the very old and rare models. It gives a good general price that is useful whether you are buying or selling.
Good for identification- photos, description, etc. Too many errors in the txt, though. Could also use views of both sides of the model.
Bought it because I am doing some collecting. Very happy with the book. Only negative is that sometimes the different models are hard to find without referring to the index.
Excellent Reference and insurance Guide! Well written, Great color photos, gives the value of the horses. It's a necessity if you collect or sell Breyers.
