    Deluxe version of gaming classic

    A beautifully laid-out, larger, easier-to-play version of this classic hobby game. The map board is enormous, which is both fun and slightly intimidating when you are trying to find places to fit everything on a table. The assorted cards are standard playing-card size now, which is helpful for handling and vision, and also look nicer. The different trains for each player are now not only different colors, but different types as well: blue cars are passenger cars, green cars are cabooses, and so on. It also includes the 1910 expansion which adds a number of new, high-stakes destination cards to the base game. This game is fun, if rather simple, and serves as a great introduction to hobby gaming.     Great game for the entire family

    The component quality and overall beauty of the game is outstanding and adds to the enjoyment of game play. The rules are easily understood and simple to teach. The game mechanics includes drawing cards but allows the player to choose from a blind draw (top card face down on deck) or pick from 5 face up cards that all players can see. Also, the building of train routes can be chosen to complete the players own destinations or block the competition from a route they may need. And, choosing longer destinations can pay off big points if successful, but will count against you if you fail. The combination of options the player has to select which cards to draw, when and where to place a train route and how far to "push your luck" when trying to complete long destinations keep all players ...

    The anniversary edition looks amazing!

    I've played the original version of the game and enjoyed it, but I never got the urge to buy it. After the first time I played the anniversary edition I thought I must have it! The new graphics and redesigned trains look awesome, the map is huge. Totally worth it.

    Best of the Best

    The quality of the pieces in this edition are incredible!! Every game should have such detailed components, the only issue with that is that it would price most gamers out of being able to afford a large library of games. However, once in awhile, it is worth it to grab a game that is BEAUTIFUL in not only in gameplay but also with the make-up of pieces
