Outstanding dashcam
This dashcam is designed to be small and discreet, hence the absence of a built in screen. Really hate the look of built-in screen dashcams out there. I have upgraded from dr650s-2ch to this version purely for the 4K capability. Absolutely not disappointed with the ability to capture licence plate during motion. Very advanced functions and new features that weren’t available in the 650s. The time lapse feature during parking mode is amazing. Fits in place behind the rear view mirror with cables tucked away. Not too keen on the BlackVue label at the front, but that can be resolved by covering it with a black insulating tap for discreetness. From the front, you can’t really tell there is a camera unless you look carefully. The existing cables from dr650s can be re-used on this version, so I ... This dashcam is a good investment as it will pay itself many times over in the case of accident. It can withstand cold and heat and have the option to be wired many ways due to accessories available from manufacturer. Very robust and will withstand the challenges of current modern day life. My best friend on the road and off the road. Can’t fault it.

GREAT SET-UP THE DR900S 2CH
Blackvue DR900S-2CH is superb, recordings are super high quality. I'd recommend buying a SanDisk Ultra 128GB memory card class 10 for about £20 on amazon, works perfect with the Blackvue. Power Magic battery is the latest version with bluetooth app connection to see the power magic battery charge level. The battery with camera connected directly will run for about 26 hours. Take care with the charging mode on the power connection, there are 2 modes, cigarette lighter socker connection 5Amp and hardwired 9Amp.... I hardwired it but the 9Amp mode was pulling so much power from the alternator when the engine was cold it made the engine idle really rough, so I switched to the 5A mode with the hardwiring to the car and you don't feel any effect on the alternator or engine idle... and its ... Fitting is fairly easy setting up for WiFi and the cloud ☁️ a bit more fiddly but I’m getting there slowly then I can access my cams and alarms any time any where I get a signal So not just a dash cam it’s an alarm too with the notifications I get so worth the extra price tag

Great Dash cam.... However make sure before installing in your vehicle....that you download the latest DR 900S Firmware onto the SD card (1.003) as it comes with (1.001). Do this by powering from your 12v socket before attaching the front camera to your windscreen... As you will need to power up with card inserted... Let it go through the motions and start recording... Unplug the power lead... Remove the SD card... Then with the use of SD adapter supplied.. Plug into laptop and do the download through the Blackvue Viewer. Make sure you choose the 2.4gig in the cloud settings if you want to connect to the Blackvue App on Android.... Otherwise it will not connect... IPhone will connect to the 5gig setting.Great Dash cam....
