    Best album of 2020 - official, it won the Grammy!

    Quite different to previous TS albums, yet the lyrics have little links to earlier songs and times, here and there. For many this album captured the mood of 2020, with reflections on life and past loves, as well as possible futures. Combines the usual personal lyrics and stories based on fantasy, or historic characters. Her Reputation album made me a fan, Lover in 2019 was great, but for me Folklore is her best, and most grown up album yet (until Evermore). Adult lyrics on a couple of songs may surprise a few fans, but in context they felt real and relatable. My favourite track is the bonus track The Lakes - a tribute to her love, Joe, while also a clever reflection on the British romantic poets of the 1800s, their chosen haven, The Lake District, all encapsulated in a musical style ...

    Wonderful

    Taylor at her very best. Wonderful songwriting and the most melodic ,at times rather sad songs. My favourite tracks are Exile with the wonderful Justin; My tears ricochet, Peace. Ephinany is especially moving. There isn't a bad song tbh. Just buy it. I've played the hard copy constantly as well as listening on Spotify and YouTube! Its definitely more of a return to her roots but now she's 30 the lyrics are more mature.
