They were ok, but got torn up while wearing in the forest. These are the exact opposite, they came in brand new condition and have sturdy soles for wearing outdoors. They are a combo of rubber and plastic coated metal "cleats". Wearing indoors may present problems on tile and such flooring as it may damage the floor. But when it comes to climbing trees in the forest they are perfect.

Only problem: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE TABI SOCKS/SPLIT TOE SOCKS PRIOR TO BUYING! There is a wall inside the shoe to split off the big toe from the rest, so standard socks will be a problem. This is my first time getting this style of shoe so I was a bit unprepared. No fault of the shoe or seller though, obviously. Shoe looks great. The spikes also create an interesting suction sound/sensation when walking. Take that as you will.
