    Nikon fit Sigma 8mm EX DG fisheye lens

    This is a specialist prime lens with a tremendous depth of field useful for tight spaces, artwork and special effects. To get the maximum benefit out of it's fixed 8mm prime nature, you need to compensate by using the various sensor crop modes available in modern SLRs today. I use the FX D810 (37MP and the DX D7200 (24MP) to ensure pin sharp images, both of which allow you to 'crop' the image sensor with no loss of light penalty. I use the D810 in FX (36 x 24mm mode) to obtain a circular image and in DX (24 x 16mm mode) to obtain an ovoid image. With the D7200, I use the DX (24 x 16mm mode) to obtain the same ovoid image and also the 1.3x crop mode (18 x 12mm) to obtain a wider, full frame ovoid image. This allows a whole variety of pin sharp images to be achieved restoring ...
