The C-clip was bent and not fully inserted, so I salvaged my old C-clip. I noticed that there was no marking for alignment of Crescent gear's splines with the armature (as was cast on the original crescent gear) but that is a small thing and only useful if you need to disassemble and then reassemble for some reason.

My JD GT 245 lawnmower hood was delivered in a timely manner and was in good shape. One thing I didn’t receive was the yellow and green side stripes for the hood. I contacted the seller, and he promised me he would send them, as they were on back order. I may have been let down before from other sellers, but this one came through and I received the stripes today. What a joy! I will definitely recommend Kumar Bros to all my friends😎💪
