    Give your old bikes that nice new feeling

    As these age they become sticky and fade, luckily replacing these with new ones is a simple job. Put either hand sanitizer or dish soap on the brake lever, as this will make removing the old hood easier. Add a bit more fluid and the new hood will then slide into place. It does take a little hand muscle, but goes quickly. The new hoods look and feel better, and that's a bit more motivation to get in those summer miles. I would second buying a set for the parts box new, because at some point they will run out of these. Safe Summer Cycling

    Perfect fit for old Cannondale RX100 brakes!

    I recently bought an older model Cannondale road bike with old, gummy white brake hoods. I looked high and low across the internet for a replacement hood for the older style brakes on the bike but kept running into them being out of stock everywhere. I found this listing, the price was great, with free shipping, and in stock so I scooped it up. And I'm glad I did! These hoods fit PERFECTLY on my RX100 style brakes and make the bike look and feel like new!

    Matches the Dia compe hoods of the 1987 Centurion Le Mans RS

    I'm in the middle of restoring a 1987 Centurion le mans and these fit perfectly over the brake levers and seem to be a good match for the orignial 'diacompe' hoods. Very hard to get on, had to use some heat, a little stretch, and some alcohol spray as lubricant. Maybe there's a trick that I don't know about.
