    Does the job...

    As described. Excellent OXO quality. However, I realized I should have ordered the model with the lid magnet. I also found both for lower prices. ($14 vs. $17) Otherwise, it was just as described and locks easily, allowing smooth, easy performance.

    This can opener is worth the money. How and when these can openers became available to the public it was a God send. Why did you keep this a secret from those who have a valid, vested, and valued interest in such a quality product is mind boggling. But I thank you for making this kitchen accessory available to those who do need it due to wrist, and hand injuries, or arthritis. The simplicity and smoothness you feel when opening a gallon can of vegetables or a 120z can of chili shows no distorted difference. The first one I purchased lasted for about 5–7yrs as I used it frequently. Keep this can opener on the market even if you improve on this one, the original version. In honor of the Black inventor Elijah McCoy, this is the real McCoy.

    Unlatch improvement

    I would like it more if when done the latch opens, as I got done opening a can I wanted to open the latch which potentially put my fingers near the edge of the sharp lid. The latch is an asset to the opener, but when opening-up multiple cans I don't want to think too much.
