Includes the original album newly mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell, 27 unreleased session recordings, a 4-track Let It Be EP, the 1969 unreleased 14-track Get Back stereo LP mix by Glyn Johns, and a 100-page hardback book with an intro by Paul McCartney, track-by-track recording information, and many unseen photos, notes, and more. A slipcase box set houses the 4 LPs, 12" EP, and hardbound book. The Let It Be album has been newly mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell. All the new Let It Be releases feature the new stereo mix of the album as guided by the original "reproduced for disc" version by Phil Spector and sourced directly from the original session and rooftop performance eight-track tapes.

    As good as it gets.

    I had been skeptical about this LP after hearing the digital HiRez version. I thought the vinyl could not be better than that. But this German pressing is better than I imagined. I am very particular about my vinyl so when I listened to this LP for the first time, I remembered why I prefer vinyl over digital. This pressing by Optimal in Germany is dead quiet. Soundstage is wide and deep. There are details in this recording I have never heard before. Granted, your experience may be different depending on equipment. For what ir's worth, I use a Clearaudio TT with Benz Micro MC cartridge, and Focal Clear headphones for critical listening.

    I never ranked Let It Be as a favorite Beatles record. The original Glyn John mix gives me a greater appreciation for it. Great collection of extras.

    Your ONLY chance to buy the Get Back LP and two other LPs of outtakes pressed by Apple from the master tapes.. period.

    This is a fantastic box set. I know that Let It Be is not everyone's favorite Beatles LP but a glance at the song lineup might make you think again-- "Two Of Us", "Let It Be", "Across The Universe", "I Me Mine", "The Long and Winding Road", "I've Got A Feeling", "For You Blue" and many other great moments make this a must have. The remix of the Let It Be LP itself is well done, and most importantly there will never be another chance to buy the original Get Back LP pressed by Apple from the original master tapes ever again. Period. That alone makes purchasing the box set a no brainer. The pressing quality of the LPs in my set is outstanding with dead quiet surfaces and perfectly flat vinyl, the box and book are great, and the overall presentation is fantastic.
