    Lovely historical fiction!

    This vintage movie is a great introduction to the fascinating real Pony Penning Festival on Chincoteague Island off the coast of Virginia. My 6 year old grand-daughter has watched it so many times she can recite much of the dialog. I even enjoy watching it over and over with her. We hope to take her there someday -- she will be well prepared for the experience,
