    Very close to the original Univibes.

    Electro Harmonix really did a good job with this pedal. It has the true Univibe "throb" that I've not been able to find in other "univibe" pedals. Very good quality pedal, but you really need to use the power adapter specifically for this pedal. It is designed for 9.6 Volt DC, and that's where it performs best. You can use 9 volt power, but it doesn't have the real magic unless you're running 9.6 volt. Not only is the sound awesome, but the ability to use an expression pedal with it to control either the speed or intensity makes it so much cooler for my use. I can run it on the Chorus setting and control the speed of the vibe to achieve a nice variable speed Leslie-like effect. It makes the pedal much more musical for me changing the speeds during lead phrases or on chords where I ...
